Denise is ASCA certified with additional
certifications from MIAA and ASEP. She has been coaching swimming for
over 8 years and has with WBD since January of 2004, while serving as
interim Head Coach for several months. She started coaching eight years
ago, first as a recreational swim team coach and then as the founding Head
Coach of the Holliston High School Swim Team. She has coached Age Group
Qualifiers and place winners as well as Eastern Zones qualifiers. She
also runs a swim program for the Holliston Park and Recreation Department
that enrolls over 100 children.
A graduate of Mass Bay Community College with an associate’s degree in
Hotel & Restaurant Management, Denise
began swimming
competitively at age 6 for the Framingham Y Clippers, and swam on Shawmut
Aquatic Club for nine years.
She resides in Whitinsville and is married with two young sons, one of
whom already swims with the Blue Dolphins. She is the lead coach for the
Silver and Gold groups.
