About Us

Whitinsville Blue Dolphins (WBD) is a year-round United States registered competitive swim team that trains out of the Whitin Community Center (WCC) in Whitinsville, MA.  WBD competes within United States Swimming (USS) and is also a member of the Worcester County Swim League.  We currently offer 5 progressive training groups to progress our swimmers gradually from novice to national level.  WBD is a parent-run, non-profit organization that is run through the team's Booster Club, of which all parents of WBD swimmers are members.  The Booster Club elects, from it's membership according to it's By-laws, an Executive Board to oversee the day-to-day operations of the team. 

WBD's Mission:  To promote swimming as a competitive and lifelong sport and help to build better individuals.  WBD's core values are teaching the fundamentals skills of competitive swimming; encouraging a lifelong habit of physical activity; stressing commitment to excellence and discipline; and teaching swimmers to respect themselves and others.  It is the goal of WBD to develop athletes who succeed at the national level in a training environment that stresses long-term development and success.
